GRAIN MARKET QUOTATIONS.
Press Association—Copy Tight. (Reed. 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 28. The wool sales are characterised by animated competition, full late rates for all qualities being maintained. New Zealand, Kapcnga, sixteen bales, 151 d; Patuna. sixteen bales loid. Bradford prices are exceedingly firm., and fair business was done. Twenty-seven bales, 26id, 255* 27 bales kid, 23&d, 20id. Sheepskins: There was a full attendance, and catalogues were practically -leered. Competition was Wheat is firm at threepence and six. pence dearer. Upton reports heavy rains and hail in Argentine. The Northern Manitoba prices for February and March delivery is 59/9. Flour is firm; Australian store 42/6 to 43/6; barley is quiet, oats firm. Bahia Blanca for February and March, 29s lid. Peas are firm; New Zealand maples 60/ to 68/; beans steady, New Zealand 44/.

FROZEN MEAT EXPORT.
WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. At a meeting of the directors of the Bristol and Dominions' Producers' Association to-day, Mr Douglas Lysnar, the chairman, reported that the Hon. H. D. Bell had informed him that the Government was not new using, and did nst propose to use, any refrigerated beats for the purpose cf transporting troops. Accepting this statement as correct, the board of directors considered the position extremely satisfactory, and, provided the shipping companies did not divert vessels from the New Zealand trade, the congestion of cargoes should be relieved at a comparatively early date. At the same meeting a letter was read from the Premier stating, with reference to 1600 quarters cf beef at present awatilng shipment at Patea, that the general manager of .the New Zealand Shipping Company had informed him that bis company was unible to allot any space tc non-contract-ing parties. The Premier added that the Government had jnst concluded •rrangements for the return of the msulated steamer Suffolk., and she is vsnected to leave Egypt in a few •lav-j and lead here for Home.

Sheep came forward greatly in advance of advertised number?, just over 8000 being yarded. There was a kee demand for good rape lambs, and forward wethers.
