ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. : . CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 14. At tiie Addington live stock market there were again large entries of fat stock, and a good attendance. Fat cattle sold at last week’s rates, cxportres again operating. Fat lambs also made last week 's values, averaging 6d per Id over all. Fat sheep were firmer by !/• per head. There was keen competition for store sheep, especially for forward lambs. Store sheep.—Very forward lambs 15/9 to 16/6, fairly good lambs 11/6 to 14/6, ewe lambs 13/9 to 13/10, forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers 16/9 to 17/3, fair 4 and 6-tooth wethers 14/11 to 15/3, 2-tooth wethers 12/S to 13/3, merino wethers 6/7, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 15/11, inferior ewes 10/7 to 12/6, ewes and lambs 9d. Fat lambs.—Extra heavy weights to 25/6, tegs 20/ to 23/, average*weights 16/6 to 19/6, light and unfinished 14/6 to 16/. Fat Sheep. —Prime wethers 22/6 to 26/9, others IS/6 to 22/, prime ewes 19/6 to 2-4/3, others 12/ to 19/, merino ewes 11/6. Fat Cattle.—Ordinary steers £7 .15/ to £l2, extra prime steers to £2O 2/6, ordinary heifers £7 to £9 10/, extra prime heifers to £ls 7/6, ordinary cows £5 17/6 to £8 7/6, extra prime cows to £l4. Price of beef per 1001 b, 32/6 to 42/0; extra prime, 45/. Store Cattle.—Yearlings 32/, 15mouth to 18-month soils £3 2/6 to £3 16/, 2-year steers £4 15/, 2-year heifers £3 15/, 3-year steers £6 9/ to £6 19/, 3year heifers £5 5/, dry cows £4 10/ to £6 5/, dairy cows £3 10/ to £9 15/. Store pigs: Best stores 28/ to 35/, medium 18/ to 27/,' small sorts 12/6 to 17/, weaners 6/ to 12/. WAIPUKURAU SALE. The usual weekly stock sale was held at Waipukurau ou Tuesday. The following are the prices: Fat bullocks £l3 15/ to £lO 10/, fat cows £lO 10/ to £7 12/6, fat heifers £9 18/ to £6 10/, 4-year fat and forward bullocks £ll 4/ to £9 1/, fat and forward cows, £7 7/6 to £5, 18month steers £4 18/ to £3, 18-mbnth heifers £3 to £2 5/, fat wethers, 19/ to 18/, fat ewes 16/8 to 15/6, forward ewes 13/ to 10/, 4-tooth wethers 16/ to 14/, 2tooth wethers 13/6 to 10/. MABTERTON STOCK SALE. At the Waipoua saleyards on Wednesday, competition was keen through the sale. Fat ewes made 18/7, two-tooth f.m. ewes 13/2 to 14/10, f.m. ewes 10/ to 10/5, 2-tooth wethers 9/3, 2-tooth wethers 12/4 to 13/, small 2-tooth wethers 9/3, 2-tooth and 4-tooth owes .10/ to 12/, shorn lambs 7/2 to 10/3, small lambs 4/1 to 4/9, cull ewes 6/, 4-ycar forward bullocks £lO 5/, 3-year and 4yeav bullocks £9 5/, 3-year steers £8 14/, weaner heifers 22/.

The market continues very-.firm on short supplies, rtkt prrews arc fully 2/ up on the week. * ’* New Zealand. —There has keen a very brisk enquiry for parcels now- landing ex Corinthic. Choicest quality is sold at 130/ up to 132/ for salted, and 130/ up to 134/ for unsaltcd. The next am-, val from New Zealand will be per Ruahine, which is expected in London on or about December 14. Australian. —The Clan McArthur,with 2847 boxes on board, is just in, and is the only arrival this week. Best salted is in good demand at 126/ up to 130/, with unsalted at 128/ up.to 130/.. Danish. —The official notation is 'kr. 4 up and now stands at kr. 124. Spot values range from 143/ up to 140/ per cwt. Siberian". —This market is firm, and all best qualities are eagerly sought after. There is also a very much better demand for undergrados. Prices range from 120/ up to 122/ for choicest and from 116/ up to 118/ for secondary and inferior descriptions. Irish.—Very little of this butter is now coining to London, and. the season may be considered as practically over. Argentine. —The Highland Loch is just up with 2800 boxes on board. Best salted has made from 124/ up to 128/, with unsaltcd at 124/ to 128/. CHEESE. This market is exhibiting great strength, and prices are up at least 1/ from last week. Canadian. —The market is steady at 77/ to 78/ for finest quality, whilst business has been done over the cables at from 75/ to 76/6 on c.i.f. terms. Now Zealand.—The Corinthic has just landed 10,928 crates of New Zealand cheese, and these have met with a ready sale at prices ranging from 75/ to 76/.
