PICTURE THEATRES. The magnificent Maori legend, ‘ ‘ Kincmoa, K ' screened at the Station Street Theatre k <t night for the second time was greatly appreciated by s, large h jnso. The gist of the legend is as follows: Tutanokai, a strong handsome youth lived with his father, a great chief, and his brothers on tho beautiful island of Mok'-ku Tutanekai, inferior of birth through his mother losing caste, is deeply in love with Princess H'nemoa, the belle of the mainland, who is a'so in love with him contrary to th» wishes of her people who destine her for a powerful chief. The lovers meet in. secret, but the mother discovers this, and prevents a rc--r: virronee. IJrwever. the-lovers scheme to elope. Tn was to sound his lute in the evening so that Hineriioa could, guided by the sound, reach Mokoia in, her canoe, but tho plan is frustrated. But love knows no locks and Hiuemoa,’ becoming reckless, swims the four miles to the island, and is received into the arms of her lover. The grand, powerful Nordisk drama, “The Mysterious Case,” attracted another large house at the Three Stars Theatre last night. This delightful drama is deserving of the highest praisa and ranks amongst the'best known picture dramas of the day. The intensely humorous Keystone comedy, “A Water Bog,” again provoked uproar!ng laugh* ter, -
