EUROPE AFTER THE WAR

Many minds have been engaged in reconstructing the map of Europe since the outbreak of the war. One of the most interesting of these ingenious compositions come from the pen of a noted Italian publicist, Marco de Albertis, writing in the Ruista Politca e Parlamentare. It is as follows: — IF GERMANY AND AUSTRIA WINS. 1. Russian Poland will be divided between Germany and Austria, 2. The Russian provinces of the Baltic, as far as the Gulf of Riga, will be annexed to Germany; Servia to AustriaHungary. 3. Belgium and French Lorraine will be annexed to Germany. 4. Savoy, Nice and Corsica to Italy as the reward of her neutrality, which, if it has helped France and her Allies, has not less helped the two central powers. IF THE ALLIES WIN. ! I. The formation of a great Polish kingdom with the Polish provinces of Austria and Germany (Austrian Galicia, Austrian Silesia, Prussian Silesia, and Posen). 2. The annexation to Russia of Eastern Prussia and of Bukovina, 3. The re-constitution of the kingdom of Bohemia (Bohemia, Moravia, the Archduchies and Salzburg). 4. The formation of a kingdom of Hungary (Hungary, Styria, Carinthia, I Carinola and Western Crotia). 5. The annexation of Transylvania to Ronmania. (i. The annexation of Bosnia, Eastern Crotia and Southern Dalmatia to Ser-, via. 7. The annexation of Herzegovina, Caftaro, Budun and Spitza to Montenegro. 8.
