SHOW NO DESIRE TO ADVANCE. (Rec. 8.45 a.m.) * CONSTANTINOPLE, Jan. 13. It is denied that the Egyptian expedition is abandoned. Router's Cairo corespondent says that Turkish officers commanding in Southern Syria do not show any desire to advance southwards. They are demanding that Constantinople should eend more trained .soldiers. The news of the Turkish defeat in the Caucasus is disheartening recruits mustering at Hebron. German officers are chiefly the impelling factor. COAL FOR GERMANY. FROM BELGIAN COLLIERIES. (Rec. 8.45 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, Jan. 13. The Telegraaf states that the Germans are employing forty thousand miners in. the collieries at Mons, Liege and Charleroi, and are sending coal to Germany; they are also sending timber frcm Namur, Brabant, and Hain«.ult.
