STOCK SALES. Messrs Abraham and Williams report on the Feildiug sale; We had a very heavy yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Rape lambs were in keen demand, but stores were hard to quit. However, we quitted the bulk of our entry at good prices. We quote; Best lambs at 11/11, medium lambs 8/, S/3, 8/9, 9/2, 9/10 to 9/11, fair lambs 7/ to 7/8, call lambs 4/ to 6/2, 4-tooth wethers 14/5 to IG/4, 2-tcoth wethers 13/ to 13/6, full-mouth ewes 9/, 2-tooth ewese, small 13/1. Cattle: Fat cows £9, store cows 31/ to £3 10/, bulls £6 to £7 10/, 3-yr. empty heifers £4 8/, cows and calves £5 12/6. Dal get y and Co. report:—At our Mangaweka sale on Thursday we had a very good entry of hot hsheep and cattle. Quotations; Two-tooth wethers 15/6, 15/7, 16/3, to 16/8, store cows £3 to £3 8/, light fat cows £6 10/.
WELLINGTON'SKIN AND HIDE SALE. -Abraham and Williams report on their sale as follows: —We offered a large catalogue, comprising some 2500 skins and 500 hides, besides tallow, etc. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was keen for everything offered. Prices ruled on a par with last sale’s' high rates, hides especially being in strong request. Ltd., Wellington report as under: At the fortnightly sale of skins, •hides; and oddments we disposed .of a representative catalogue to a good attendance of buyers, at satisfactory prices, almost cm a par with those ruling at cur last sale, the exception being hides, which were keenly competed for .at a rise of about Ad/id per lb Hr all weights of good sound lines.
