Before Foreign Relations Committee, Mr Bartholdt asserted that Canadian. troops had infringed American .neutrality by crossing the Maine en route to Britain. The Ottawa Government issued an immediate denial to the falsehood and told the Committee that the German Government officially informed the Slate Department that they did not expect the United States to stop the expert of war supplies. ,
