FAMOUS GENERALS TAKING CHARGE. (United Press Assn—Copyright.) (Reed. 10.30 a.in.) LONDON, Jan. 3. The War Office announces a reorganisation of the forces by the creation of armies, each generally consisting of three army corps. General Sir Douglas Haig, Sir Horace Smith-Dorrien, Sir Archibald Hunter, Sir lan Hamilton, Sir Lci-lie Kiniclle, and Sir Bruce Ham iltou will command (he first, to sixth armies inclusively. BUELOW FAILS KAISER'S HOPE EXTINGUISHED. (Reed. 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, Jan. 3. The “Temps” says Prince Von Bnelow’s mission utterly tailed in his principal object, viz., to persuade Italy that her interests were identical with Germany’s, with the prospect of building a vast Empire when England was ousted from the Mediterranean. The Kaiser was aware that the only hope of success lay in Prince Von Buelow’s popularity. In (he event, ol failure, lie intended Von Buelow to bear the entire responsibility, thereby discrediting his party, which is antagonistic to the Kaiser.
