FISHING AT ROTORUA
ROTORUA, a-Tn. 1. There is likely to be a rush of sportsmen to Lake Rotorua, whore some fine hauls of trout have lately jeen inside. One fish brought in by a fisherman contained 16 rainbow trout from 51 to 11 pounds, in the pink or Condition, and created considerable mvy on the part of less fortunate -ports. Rctcma is a little la',-re seme miles beyond Rctoiti. The presence of rent in it is no new thing, but the water has not been accessible until : ate!y. There is now an accommodation 'louse en Ihe shores and a boat on he lake. There are other lakes in the iistrict. Government officials say, here equally fine fishing can be ot>nined, but they have not so far been used, on account of the difficulty of netting to them. Fishing on Rclorua it.seif with c rod is not very good at present, but on Tarawera both good fish and good -.porf are available.
