ENTERTAINMENTS.

The Vitagraph drama, “Hearts of Women,” attracted a largo ht use at the Station Street Theatre again las t night. The picture indeed merits great praise, and is worthy of being classed amongst the best of dramatic productions. Two other dramas, “When the Heart Changes,” and Redskin’s Mercy,” proved equally attractive, while the Australian Gazette proved unusually interesting, giving a fine view of the Australian navy including of course the renowned cruiser "Sydney.”

The sensational drama, “The Substi tute,” was screened for the first time at the Three Stars Theatre last night before a very appreciative house. This "virile production is a tale of the

American army. Two persons, an exsergeant and a .lieutenant greatly resemble each other, which gives the theme of the tale. Of course this similarity between the two men leads to " unforseeri ',’complications, but after many exceedingly exciting episodes, matters right themselves satisfactorily. The remaining programme, including the Keystone comedy, “The Missing Bride,” proved of a very entertaining nature.

The jnagnificent. war. • picture, “Defence of Alost, v .‘.will be .'screened tonight at the Station Street Theatre, at 9 o’clock, and at the Three Stars Theatre at 10 o’clock. The film is claimed to be exceedingly interesting, shovlihg the heroic Belgian.army in its field manoeuvres, the bombardment of Alost and destruction ; wrought by shells, desperate street fighting and other ’ incidents of an equally interesting nature.

The usual weekly matinee will be given to-morrow afternoon at 2 o’colck instead of on Saturday afternoon.
