Anyone still having doubts as to the fattening capabilities of this district would probably have had the last of it entirely removed If he of she had been at the Mata'roa railway yards on Sunday, when rather more than 2000 fat wethers were being trucked for a southern freezing company. We understand the line was bought from only rwo of our back-country runs and represented less than a third of the fat stock for the season. It would appear that, if anything, the proposed local works are being built oa too small a scale.
