An official report to the American Government relates that after the British and French Consuls took refuge in the Italian Consulate at Hodeida, in Arabia, the Ottoman soldiers surrounded the Consulate,and firing began, wherein the Italian attache was wounded. The British Consul then surrendered. The Turkish Governor accused the Italian Consul cf firing on the Turkish troops.
