VICTORIAN LAND TAX BILL. PROTESTS OF PASTORALTSTS. (Reccl. 9.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 19. The House has passed the Defence Bill. Pasfccralists protest against any amendment of the Land Tax Bill. They urged Mr Fisher not to present the Vet to the Governor until the April session, so as to enable representation regarding its effects being submitted to the Government. GOVERNMENT SEIZE RiVERINA. WHEAT. (Reed. 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY. Dec. 19. A proclamation has been issued authorising the seizure of all wheat in the southern Riverina that is not in actual transit. Mr Ashford estimates that New South Wales next year’s wheat yield will he fifty million bushels.
