The popularity of the “Tommies’ ” song “It’s a long way to Tipperary.” was demonstrated at last night’s concert when the singer, Mrs. Loughnan, was twice recalled to appease the enthusiastic desire for more, Mrs. Loughnan sang the song, not as it is generally known, for the wording had been adeptly altered to suit the present war conditions and its rendition, in the new phraseology, met with a cordial reception.
