A monster programme was arranged by the committee of the Amateur Athletic Club, which met last night, fcr New Year's Day, including, chopping, and. horse events and tug-o'-war, chain' stepping, golf puttign, throwing cricket ball,- place, kicking, weight judging, stockmen's race, and threelegged and children's races. The matter cf fire brigade events is to be arranged with the captain of the brigade. Lieut. Johnson and Scoutmaster Stent are to be interviewed with reference to 1 cadet and scouting*events. Some fourteen members were added to the committee list. Sports, and children's committees; were set up. It was decided that ladies and children be ad 7 mitted' : free also that privileges' be auctioned by ; Mr."W. McLennan.'. -' .";
