Two friendly matches only were played on the Taihape Bowling Green on Saturday. The scores are not available. Next Thursday, weather and circumstances permitting, wall see the second contest this season for “Feathers” honours when the challengers, Connolly, Train, Stent, and Thurston (s) meet the holders,, Somerville, Cook, James and McKenzie (s). The first shield matches between dubs in the Wanganui centie will be played next Saturday.
