Tiavea Octu-Ige.—Seven Sanioans, Telea, Metulo, Taatola, Tuau, Lafoga, Sootaga, and Mnpii Popino wore charged witli having by force and threats caused Taupe and others (Manihiki natives), to give up their boat, and other things belonging to them. Tho accused pleaded guilty, and were sentenced to six months' imprisonment with hard labor and four whippings of six lashes, to be administered each week of the first four weeks of their imprisonment.
