LABOURER CHARGED
BREAKING AND ENTERING ALLEGED REMAND TILL NEXT WEEK Facing three charges of breaking and entering, and the theft of goods and cash totalling £2O 4s, Alfred George Clegg, a labourer aged 40, was remanded until September 25, when he appeared at the Police Court today. Clegg was charged with, on September 9, at Newmarket, breaking and entering the house of Doris Herawani and stealing 4s in cash. He was charged further with, on the same date, breaking and entering the house of Dorothy Jackson, Newmarket, with intent to commit a crime. A third charge of. on September IG, at. Devonport, breaking and entering the house of William Charles Clarke, and stealing two rings valued at £2O, was also preferred against accused. On the application of ChiefDefective Hammond, Mr. Woodward granted the remand until September
