Tweeds Predominate on Lawn at Avondale
FASHIONS AT THE RACES
I Smart, light-weight tweeds predominated among the frocks and suits to be seen on the lawn at the opening meeting of the Avondale Jockey Club. With these tweed coats and ensembles the smart, close-fitting felt hat was worn. Among those on the lawn were: Mrs. M< beod. brown cloth ensemble, fur necklet and brown hat. Mrs. W. <\ Ring, brown leather coat and small red hat. Mrs. Kant. navy striped ensemble, furs, and a violet hat. Mrs. A. It. Buroher, black and white check tweed coat, fur' necklet, and a black hat. Mrs. Mitchelson. naw coat, fur trimmed and small navy hat Mrs. P. Sutherland, brown and orange fleck tweed suit and hat to tone. Mrs. Harry Mowbray, black cloth suit and black hat. Mrs. Hamilton, navy frock, black seal co^. t anc * navy ballibunt.al hat. Maeklow, black frock, seal coat, and black panne velvet hat. Mrs. Hunter, cigar brown tweed suit and small brown hat. Mrs. F.
