LIFEBOATS TO RESCUE
VESSELS IN DISTRESS OFF ENGLAND STEAMER BEACHED British Official Wireless Reed. 11.40 a.m. RUGBY, Friday. Lifeboats from Margate, Deal and Clacton put out today to help two vessels In distress. The London coasting steamer Teport of 280 tons struck submerged wreckage was beached on the Girdler Sands, 20 miles off Margate, and the crew was taken off. The Deal boat also stood by a brig, which nearly capsized in the heavyseas which were running in the Channel.
