“THE ZIEGFELD FOLLIES’’ Eddie Cantor, Helen Morgan and Rudy Vallee—famous stage, radio, and gramophone recording artists—will be seen and heard in a special revue sequence in “Glorifying the American Girl," the Ziegfeld Revue, now at che Lyric Theatre. Florenz Ziegfeld, master producer, supervised the production of the lavish extravaganza—a lavish spectacle of gorgeous girls, of music, singing and dancing, and with scenes of rarest beauty produced in full technicolour. Mary Eaton is seen and heard in the leading role in this all-talking, allsinging. all-dancing part colour Paramount special. She is supported by Dan Healy, Kaye Renard, Olive Shea, and Edward Crandall, all of them well known performers on the New York stage. It is in a specialty revue sequence of the picture that the three Broadway cetebrities score individual triumphs. The Lyric’s new programme also includes the first screening in Auckland a new talkie attraction, “Love at b irst Sight,” a sensational new allmusical screen romance. It is a Broadway story introducing several new songs, such as “Love at First Sight,” the theme song, “Let’s Jig tho Jigaboo,” “You’re My Everything ” “Waiting for the Sunshine” and “It’ll Be Just Too Bad.” These numbers will be played by Paul Specht and his orchestra. The Chester Hall ballet have also a part in the him production.
