Thomas, general manager in New Zealand for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Films, arrived in Auckland yesterday from Wellington, anil sailed for Sydney today by the Ulimaroa. Mr. L. W. Colonel Mellor served in France during the Great War in tin Horse Artillery and retired in 3920, since when he has been in business in England. Christie, permanent head of the Government Law Drafting Office, left for England this week on business in connection with a contract between the Government and Butterworth, Ltd., for the publication of an annotated edition of the New Zealand Statutes.
