Limited, has placed a contract for the extension of its brick and. pipe plant at New Lynn with the Vulcan Steel Construction Companv, Ltd. This Auckland firm was in competition with overseas engineering firms. lis tender showed a considerable saving and its delivery time was two months less than that required by the other manufacturers. The plant was designed by the Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Company’s superintendent engineer. Mr. J. R. Todd, and the approximate cost of the additional plant is more than £B,OUO.
