POLAR TRAGEDY CLUE

MAPS AND NOTES RECOVERED FROM ANDREE PARTY BONES OF EXPLORERS P.acd. 9.5 a.m. OSLO, Wednesday, A message from Tromsoe states that many more relics of the Andree expedition have been landed there from the steamer Isbjoerm. These include. Andree’s skull and the bones of Fraenkei. There are also a number of papers and maps on which the party’s toilsome journeys, are marked out, private letters, a notebook containing daily anecdotes, photographs of Strindberg’s fiancee and three pairs of spectacles. Particularly interesting is a lengthy report in shorthand which it is believed, gives a detailed description of the adventures of the ill-fated explorers.
