DUNEDIN CLUB MEMBERS AND FRIENDS SPEND HAPPY EVENING ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME Cards and dancing entertained the members and their friends who attended the sixth social evening held by the Dunedin Club in the Fountain of Friendship Lodge yesterday. During tho evening Air. Genimell sang several songs and tho Kit Kat Band played excellent dance music. Air. and Airs. j. A. flow were host and hostess. Airs. Gow received the guests wearing a. frock of black embroidered tulle with a floral chenille coa.tee. Among those present were: Airs. Faulkner wore a frock of black lace. Airs. Dickison was gowned in a black georgette frock. Airs. Driscoll chose a gown of black georgette with a black and silver beaded bridge coatee. Airs. Ray had on cream ninon with an embossed jacket. Mrs. Johnson was wearing silver laoe over cyclamen georgette. Mrs. N. Hamilton's frock was of cherry red lace and georgette. Mrs. Dodds had chosen a frock of black laoe. Mrs Allum wore a frock of turquoise blue crepe de chine and black ring velvet coatee. Airs. Wright was gowned in rose beige georgette with a shawl to tone. Airs. A. Alien chose a frock of apricot moire taffeta with a floral lame coatee. Airs. Long had on a black georgette frock and a chiffon velvet bridge coat. Airs. Gaud in was wearing a gown of black georgette with a blue and gold brocaded coatee. Airs. AlcGuire had chosen a frock of unrelieved black georgette. APrs. McKay’s frock was of beige lace with a bridge coat to match. Mrs. James Oliver wore a frock of pale blue georgette and a floral coatee. Mrs. Cornish was gowned in lime green geoi'gette with a bridge coatee of forest green velvet. Airs. Reid chose honey-coloured corded taffeta. Mrs. King had on a gown of bronze lace. Mrs. Peter Ross was wearing black patterned georgette. Mrs. Piper’s frock was of black silk lace. Airs. Fletcher Jones had chosen blue floral chiffon. Mrs. A. W. Smith wore a frock of lettuce green lace over satin. Airs. J. Hore was gowned in flame crepe georgette. Mrs. Oliver chose a frock of powder blue georgette. Aliss K. McDonnell had on midnight blue satin. Miss B. AI. McDonnell’s frock was of parchment embossed velvet and lace. Miss Seiderberg was wearing a gown of silver and black lace. Miss Allum had chosen primrose georgette. Miss Byrrte wore black ninon with a floral bridge coat. Aliss Hill was in a frock of turquoiseblue taffeta. Miss McLean chose a biscuit coloured georgette frock. Aliss Eccles had on a frock of black lace relieved with a hip bow of rose pink. Aliss Gwen Allan was wearing silver lame and flame satin. Aliss Harley's frock was of apple green georgette. Aliss Shepherd had chosen cameo pink georgette with godets of silver lace. Aliss Findlay wore a frock of lettuce green crepe de chine.

ENJOYABLE EVENING AT SYMONDSViLLE STUDIO

A very merry evening was spent at mondsville Studio last evening, when Alessrs. John Burns and Co., Ltd., held another popular staff dance. The studio was prettily decorated with cherry blossoms and fern, and excellent music was supplied by the Kit-cat Dance Band Ahiong those present were: Airs. R. B. Another successful whist drive under the auspices of the Auckland Cornish Association was held in the Orient Tea Rooms, Newmarket, on Tuesday last. Tho prize-winners were as follow: Airs. Gimblet, Aliss Gimblet, Airs. Deane and Aliss Alorton, and Alessrs. Pooley, Fast and Dingle.
