He had been Governor of Bermuda since 1927, and had held numerous high staff appointments during the war, including that of chief of staff in Palestine to Viscount Allenby. THIRTY YEARS A STARTER SYDNEY, Tuesday. The death has occurred of Mr. H. L. MacKellar, the official starter for the Australian Jockey Club for 30 years, aged 62. He was formerly manager of the Kilkham stud.
