FORESTRY SCHEME
LEASE OF 5,000 ACRES PART OF DARTMOOR British Official Wireless RUGBY, Monday. The National Forestry Commissioners are negotiating with the council of the Duchy of Cornwall for a lease of 5,000 acres of Dartmoor in connection with a new scheme of afforestation. The commissioners hope to plant the area with Scottish pines, firs, spruce, and birch. Under the schemes of the commissioners, 50,000,000 trees were planted in different areas last year.
