TIMARU OLD BOYS
SOCIAL EVENING HELD There was a representative gathering of members of the Auckland branch of the Timaru High School Old Boys’ Association in the Fabian Club’s room. Upper Queen Street, last evening, when the branch met for a social evening and informal meeting, to consider the presentation of a trophy for competition at the school sports next month. Dr. Gunn occupied the chair and a happy evening was passed with schoolday reminiscences. With regard to the sports trophy, it was unanimously decided to present a suitably-inscribed inkstand for the half-mile handicap. Mention was made of the future activities of the association, and it was proposed to arrange a launch party during the summer months. During the evening Mr. Herbert Ingram recited “Kid from Timaru.” \
