SUBURBAN THEATRES
The Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, and the Prince Edward Theatre, Karangahnpe Road, are both showing “Hit the Deck,” the gorgeously presented musical production based on the * famous musical comedy. Polly Walker and Jack Oakie are the stars and there is a big chorus for the popular songs. The Tudor Theatre, Remuera, is showing “With Byrd at the South Pole.” the fascinating film record of daily life and adventurous exploration amid the frozen wastes. The Grey Lynn Cinema is showing “Honky Tonk," a tale of New York night club life, starring Sophie Tucker. The Victoria Theatre, Devonport, is showing “Street of Chance," a fastmoving and exciting gambling story, starring William Powell.
