SYDNEY GATE WAS £2,488 AT BRITISH GAMES N.S.W. WANTS THE LOT United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Itccd. 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Receipts for the three matches at Sydney against the British Rugby footballers amounted to £3,611. Ground rent and other incidental expenditure totalled £1.123, leaving the net proceeds £2,488, of which the New Zealand Rugby Union will take half. The cost of bringing the British team to Australia amounted to £l.lOO. The New South Wales Rugby Union has asked the New Zealand Union to forgo its share of the net proceeds; otherwise New South Wales will show no profit at all. No reply has been received from New Zealand.
