BADLY DAMAGED, BUT CREW SAFE WEST COAST ACCIDENT Press Association HOKITIKA, Today. Advice was received late last night that the ketch Elsie, belonging to the South Westland Shipping Company, went ashore at one o’clock on Monday morning at Hunt’s Beach, near Bruce Bay. She is reported to be badly damaged, hut her crew is safe. The cargo was general merchandise for Okuru, valued at £6OO.
