CRICKET MEETINGS
PARNELL CLUB The annual meeting or the Parnell Cricket Club was held last night. Mr. R. B. Lusk presided over an attendance of 50 members. Tho annual report and balance sheet, which has previously been summarised in The Sun, was adopted. The following officers were elected: —Patron. Mr. F. Earl, K.C.; president, Mr. R. B. Lusk; vice-presidents. Messrs. F. Pickford, T. Aitken. W. B. Upton. N. Luke. D. MacDonald. J. W. McCoy; delegates to the. Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs. A. G. Aitken. R. W. Dow, 11. Duncan; club captain. Mr. R. W. Stehr; deputy-club captain,' Mr. J. Lamb; management committee, Messrs. H. Duncan, A. H. Singleton, R. W. Dow, A. G. Aitken. A* W. McCoy; honorary auditor. Mr. J. M. Smith; honorary secretary, Mr. A. L. Hally; honorary treasurer, Mr. S. C. Hay; assistant-honorary secretary and treasurer. Miss A. Flail. Tho following presentations were made;—Mr. W. B. Upton’s bats for centuries made in the senior grade, P. E. Whitelaw, H. G. Vivian, A. Singleton, Mr. M. H. Luke’s bat for the best bowling performance in the senior grade, F. Goodsir; Mr. R. B. Lusk’s bat. for the best bowling performance in the second grade, C. K. Sharp; Air. F. Pickford’s medal for the best batting and bowling in the junior grades. A. L. Hally. The Auckland Cricket Association was congratulated on reappointing A. F. Wensley to the position of coach. Appreciation of the association’s introduction indoor practice was expressed, and it was decided to donate £3 3s toward tho fund. Mr. W. M. Johnston, ex-secretary and treasurer of the club, was unanimously elected a life member and was presented with a leather suitcase. The president said that the club’s present strong position was to a iarge extent due to the work performed by Air. Johnston in his dual capacity since 1924.

Campbell and Howell; executive and selection committee, Alessrs. Taylor, Campbell and Pomeroy.

From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. Tho following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Y.AI.C.A. Club:—President, Air. Stace; club captain, Air. W. Dobson; secretary, Air. A. Alolloy; treasurer, Air. C. Kilburn; delegates to the Waikato Cricket Association, Messrs. Garde and Atorris; general committee, Alessrs. Cheeseman, Davies, Price, Darrell, Bamford and J. Dempsey; selectors, club captain and captains of teams.
