AUCKLAND MAN’S SUCCESS From Oar Oum Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. 1 A new motor-car offered by the Waikato Commercial Travellers' Associai lion as a prize for estimating the number of shot in a bottle has been j won by Mr. G. E. Gardner, care of Macky, Logan. Limited, Auckland. The bottle contained 4,414 shot, but ! no one estimated the correct number. Mr. Gardner and two others put down . 4.413 and on a draw being conducted ! Mr. Gardner was successful. The competition was held in connection with the campaign to raise • funds for buildings for the children’s camp at. Port Waikato. Tenders for the erection of sleeping quarters at the camp have been ; let, and an official ceremony will be jjield on November 11. .
