LOCALITY OF AMERICA'S CUP CONTEST, SHOWING THE COURSES.—This tracing from an Admiralty chart gives the scene of the racing for the America’s Cup. All races will start and finish at the flagged buoy at the apex of the triangle. Today's race is being sailed over a windward and leeward course, which means that the boats will go 15 miles direct from the flag straight to an arranged point on the dotted semicircle and back, completing a course of 30 miles. To what point the yachts will go is determined by the direction of the wind. The second race will be sailed over the triangular course, the full distance round also being 30 miles. The flagged buoy is 10 miles south-east of Brenton Reef.
