PRESENTATION AND DANCE

WINTER GARDEN MANAGER RETIRES On Monday evening a valedictory party was given at the Civic Winter Garden to Mr. C. Taylor, who has resigned his position as manager of the garden. A presentation was made to Mr. Taylor of a canteen of cutlery. Mr. T. A. O’Brien, in presenting the gift, spoke of the work that Mr. Taylor had done, and of the success which had attended his efforts Mr. Taylor replied with a short speech, in which he placed most qf the responsibility for the Winter Garden’s suceess on the staff's shoulders. Following the toasts of the chief guest and the directors, a dance was held.
