MAORI’S SUICIDE

SHOT HIMSELF OUTSIDE OWN WHARE TRAGEDY NEAR HUNTLY While his wife and daughter were within call, Te Kapa, an aged Maori, shot himself outside his whare at Puketotara, this morning, according to a message received by the Auckland police. Te Kapa was a married man, aged 70, with an adult family. His whare at Puketotara is about 20 miles distant from Huntly. The coroner and a police constable left Huntly at 10 o’clock this morning to open the inquest.
