COMMENT ON YESTERDAY’S FORM WINNERS AND FAILURES Special to THE SUN WANGANUI, Thursday. . Bettors received a severe thrashing • on the opening day of the Wanganui meeting, but the form was very interesting, if expensive. The Maidens ! There was ample support for Auck- . land Gas in the Maiden, but he was never prominent. ! Baskier showed a lot of speed in the | Maiden, but failed badly in the run ; home.
