OTAGO CLUB’S ANNUAL AT WINGATUI GOOD FIELDS ENGAGED ' The annual race meeting of the Otago Hunt Club is to be held on the Wingauii racecourse tomorrow. Very fair fields are engaged in all events and include a large number of three-year- ; Olds. ' In view of the spring meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club now being only a. few weeks off, the form will be of | considerable interest. i The principal flat race is the .Tockev | Club Handicap, one mile, the issue in

| which appears to rest between the two 1 top weights, Black Duke and Rascal. ; The former will have the track conditions to bis liking. Rascal was a winner at Riccarton a month ago. West Dome appears nicely placed to win a double, being in the Hunters’ Hurdles and the Hunters’ Flat. At the Hunt meting at Riccarton six weeks back A Vest Dome won a similar double. Tractarian’s form over the big fences of late has been really good and ho reads very well in the Hunt Cup. The best performer on the Rand wick tracks today was Nightmarch, who ran six furlongs in 1.14. Limerick did a mile in 1.43. First Sight and Paquito did seven furlongs in 1.28£. Hard Words, Taurua and Clopton worked impressively. Eaglet did a mile in 1.41£. Gay Crest and Concentrate ran a mile in 1.44&. Kingmarch is reported to be amiss and was absent from the tracks today.
