BRAWLS AND BLOODSHED

HOW GERMANY FIGHTS ITS ELECTIONS POLLING ON SUNDAY Times Cable. BERLIN, Tuesday. i The General Election camraign in Germany is drawing to a close and Polling is to take place on Sunday. The campaign has been characterised by brawling and bloodshed. There have been repeated conflicts between fascists and Communists, and at least 15 people have been killed and 250 wounded in recent weeks. The Chancellor, Dr. Bruening, in one of his final speeches denied that he and his Cabinet were preparing a dictatorship. But, he said, -he Government would stand no nonsense from the Opposition. “We open our arms to all who are willing to share our responsibility,’* he said. The Cabinet would be glad to reestablish a coalition with the Socialprovided that the latter accepted the Ministry’s Budget decrees. It is considered doubtful that the Socialists will co-operate on the Chancellor's terms.
