RUGBY DOINGS
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE’S MEETING GAMES AND REFEREES Two deputations waited on the Rugby Union Management Committee last evening to discuss administrative questions. Mr. H. Frost presided. It was reported by the Junior Management Board that Messrs. Connyngham, Miller and Williams had been appointed to select a third grade intermediate representative team to travel to Hamilton on September 20. The following teams were given permission to travel on Saturday:—Shore third grade open and Eden fourth grade to Thames; Manukau fifth grade to Helensville. The seventh grade competition was closed and the Northcote team was sent a letter of congratulation on winning the grade. The Otago Rugby Union sent an invitation for a union representative to attend tho Otago Rugby Jubilee celebrations to be held in Dunedin from September 23 to 28. Otago was congratulated on the occasion and it was decided to have Auckland represented fit tho celebrations if possible. Permission was given for the Law v. Insurance match to be played at Eden Park on Dominion Day, September 22. SATURDAY’S FIXTURES The following fixtures have been arranged for next Saturday: Senior Grade A.—Grammar v.
