ALL W TRAIN FOR A4A MEETING LARGER WICKET Cricketers are stirring in Ajckiand. On Monday evening tHe Management Committee of tKe Auckland Cricket Association met to make final arrangements for the association's annual meeting, which is to be held on September 25. The X'ew Zealand Cricket Council forwarded a recommendation that the larger wicket, as used in thg English county competition, be adopted in Xew Zealand next season for Plunket Shield and first-class matches. The Auckland Association decided to support the proposal, in view of the tour of the Xew Zealand team to England next season. A notice of motion was received from ihe Junior Advisory Committee, requesting the introduction of a rule tu the effect that no club be admitted to the association’s competitions unless if lias more Mian one team. The proposal was favoured by the Management Committee and recommended for adoption at the annual general meeting on September 25. Applications for several senior grade suburban players for the use of the association’s indor practice wicket were granted. A letter was received from the Xew Zealand Council expressing sympathy with the association in the loss of the late Mr. R. Xeale. The Xew Zealand Couuv-il also advised that in accordance with a resolution passed at the last bi-annual conference the Auckland Association would be responsible for the disposal of 106 volumes of the “History of Xew Zealand Cricket.’ by T.
