“THE YARD” RECOVERS STOLEN PICTURES WAITING SHIPMENT ABROAD Reed. 11.55 a.m. LONDON, Wed. The “Evening News” says Scotland Yard has dramatically recovered IS Rembrant, Reynolds and Rubens paintings valued at £20,000, which had been stolen in March from Carlton House Galleries. The pictures were in a railway cloak room, apparently awaiting shipment abroad.
