“The Last Warning:.” which will b£ shown again this evening at the Regent Theatre, Manukau Road, is a thrilling mystery story of a haunted theatre. Laura La Plante plays the role of an actress who decided to defy superstition and reopen the theatre after a period of years. “Syncopation,” the second feature, is a gav tale of stage life, with songs, dancing and music, and featuring Fred "W aring’s Pennsylvanians. Bernard Jukas, who played the part of the spider-eating maniac in ‘Dracula” for 2,000 performances in England and America, has an important role in ‘ The Sap from Syracuse,” Jack Oakie’s second starring talkie. Others in the cast are Ginger Rogers, who is tho leading woman, Betty Starbuck, Verree Teasdale, Granville Bates and Sidney Riggs.
