BELGIUM IS THRILLED BY BABY PRINCE SON FOR PRINCESS ASTRID Reed. 10.35 a.m. BRUSSELS, Sub. Princess Astrid, Crown Princess of Belgium, has given birth to a son. A salute of 101 guns announced the birth of the new Prince, who is second in succession to the throne. Burgomaster Max issued a proclamation declaring that “the populace heard with joy of the birth of the baby Prince, which would secure a continuance of the dj'nasty which for a century had ruled the nation's destinies and had so powerfully contributed to the greatness and glory of Belgium.’ 1 The citizens are most excited and are giving themselves up to celebration.
