A motor-lorry got out of control ■while descending a steep hill at Yass and overturned. A youth was killed and 16 others were injured. Walter Freeman, an elderly man, is in a serious condition as a result of being impaled for half an hour when his car crashed into a fence in Melbourne. The paling pierced his abdomen. inflicting a frightful wound, and the car crushed him against the railings, which had to be cut away.
