“SONG O’ MY HEART”
COMING TO THE ST. JAMES Much interest has been aroused over the songs which John McCormack, the great Irish tenor, sings in his forthcoming Fox Movietone picture. “Song o’ My Heart,” which will be the ex-tended-run attraction at the St. James Theatre. During the screening of the beautiful Irish romance, the famous tenor is generous with his vocal numbers, for he sings a total of 11 songs, including a number of his old favourites as well as a few new airs written specially for this picture. Ten of the songs are in English and one in Italian. The songs in tho order in which they are sung are as follow: “Then You’ll Remember Me,” “A Fairy Story by the Fireside.” “Just for Today,” “I FeeJ_ You Near Me,” “Kitty, My Love,” “The Rose of Tralee,” “Loughi E Carl,” “Little Boy Blue,” “Ireland, Mother Ireland.” ‘‘l Hear You Calling Me” and "A Pair of Blue Eyes.”
Hundreds of miles of Irish countryside were examined before the film experts making John McCormack’s first talking picture, “Song o’ My Heart,” finally decided on the ideal locations. These were finally found in the village of Lusk, about 13 miles from Dublin and tho hamlet of Monasterevan, County Kildare, where Mr. McCormack’s estate, Moore Abbey, is located. These beautiful Irish scenes form one at the features of the first talking picture to be filmed in the Emerald Isle.
