BOY KNOCKED DOWN

Gra 'm m Edward Mears, aged nine years, who lives with his parents at Otahuhu, was knocked down while crossing the Great South Road opposite the Passenger Transport Company’s Garage, Otahuhu, at 11 o'clock this morning, byt a car driven by Mr Edward A. Martin, of Greenfield Road Ellerslie.

The boy ran out from behind a motor-lorry parked on the side of the road. After attention by Dr. A. M. Ross, of Otahuhu, he was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance suffering from head injuries and broken ribs.
