SAILED WITH BYRD
SEAMAN RETURNING HOME One of the members of the Byrd Expedition arrived in Auckland this morning on the steamer Canadian Transporter. He is Mr. Edward Royal, of Dunedin, who went South with Byrd on the Eleanor Boling as a seaman. When the expedition returned he sailed from Dunedin oi the City of New York, also in the capacity of a seaman, and left that ship at New York. Mr. Royal joined the crew of the Canadian Transporter at Montreal, and when she reaches Dunedin to discharge cargo will sign off.
