Sir Harold Beauchamp arrived in Utckland this morning from the South, accompanied by Lady Beauchamp, and they left later for Helensvilie. They will return to Auckland in a few weeks.

The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Public Works, left the first express at Frankton this morning and continued his journey to Rotorua by motor-car. The Minister will return to Wellington on Monday evening.
Mr. R. G. Hatton. Director of the Imperial Agricultural Research Bureau, and one of the world's great authorities on fruit, will leave England for Australia at the end of this year, and wilt visit New Zealand early in 1931.
