PROPOSED HARRIERS’ TOUR
• conference of harrier clubs held in Wellington last week-end, it was decided that the time had arrived when a New Zealand cross-countrv team should be sent to Australia in the near future. The chief obstacle is that of finance, but it was decided that each oi the harrier centres should bo asked to find a proportion of the £3OO reqmred to make the trip. Canterbury*. Wellington, and Otago to find £75 each and Auckland and Wanganui £37/10/ea.cn. It was pointed out that, a New Zealand team could not compete for the Australian title, but would have to compete as individuals.
